On 13th February 2022 I took the "before" picture, and today, 11th May 2022, I took the "after" picture.
Mr Aftab Ahmed did the upper and lower eyelid surgery at his Doncaster clinic. I was looked after very well by the hospital staff, his anaesthetic team and his aftercare nurses. I was discharged the same day.
In the first couple of weeks, I had slight discomfort, swelling and bruising. I applied the antibiotic cream as instructed and every day I saw improvement. After 7 days the stitches were removed and I was very pleasantly surprised at the results at this early stage.
Swelling always takes a few weeks to subside and after 3 months now, the results are amazing. No more hooded upper eyelids or wrinkles under the eyes. It's a pleasure to apply makeup and I think I have a much more refreshed look. In my opinion, I think I have a more youthful look too, which is big confidence boost. My eyelashes are healthier too as they're not obstructed by the previously hooded eyelids.
The slight scarring on the lower lids is just about invisible, and the slight upper eyelid scarring is in the crease of the eye.
